Rev. John E. Jackson, Sr.

Rev. Jackson served as the Associate Pastor to Men’s Ministries and the Pre-Marital Counseling Program at Trinity United Church of Christ-Chicago, under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr.

In the capacity of Associate Pastor to Men’s Ministries, Rev. Jackson not only provided pastoral leadership to the various Men’s ministries of TUCC-Chicago, but he also facilitated the weekly Men’s Bible Class, organized the quarterly Men’s Worship Service, and developed the Annual Men’s Prayer Breakfast into the Annual Men’s Conference. Rev. Jackson also coordinated the 4 eight-week sessions of the Pre-Marital Counseling Program, where couples contemplating marriage could begin the journey of discovery and assessment for the institution of marriage.


Rev. Jackson received his Bachelor of Science degree and his Master of Divinity from Loyola University Chicago - Water Tower Campus and McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, respectively.

In 2004, Rev. Jackson was called to pastor the Trinity United Church of Christ-Gary. Trinity UCC-Gary, since its first worship service the second Sunday in October 2004, has been consistently growing. In the Summer of 2008, they completed building their new church edifice and are presently worshipping there.
