Emergency Benefit for Haiti.

The United Afrikan Movementand the Central District Organizing Project are getting the people of Gary and Northwest Indiana together for an Emergency Fund Raiser for the people of Haiti. As of this week as a result of the devastating earthquake that took place on January 12, 2010, an estimated 150,000 people have perished and another nearly 200,000 are injured.The benefit will be hosted by:

Trinity United Church of Christ

The program will begin at 6:00 p.m.

There will be presentations, music, poetry and other artistic talent shared for the people.

Proceeds will beshared among several organizations that directly benefit the people of Haiti.
